The Golden Globes 2019 nominations are in

06 December 2018 16:54

It’s here. The Golden Globes nominations are in and, a year on from Timothée Chalamet stealing the industry’s heart with Call Me By Your Name (Luca Guadagnino, 2017), awards season is back to fill directors, screenwriters and actors everywhere with intense anxiety for the next three months. Rumours will swirl, predictions will populate Twitter feeds, and designers will scramble to dress nominees. But first, it’s time to digest the will of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who voted for this year’s nominees. While mainstream favourites Black Panther (Ryan Coogler, 2018), A Star Is Born (Bradley Cooper, 2018) and Bohemian Rhapsody (Bryan Singer, 2018) all have a shot at ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’, entries such as Widows (Steve McQueen, 2018) and Suspiria (Luca Guadagnino, 2018) have been snubbed entirely. There’s only one month to go until we find out who will take home the actual awards. It’s time to binge-watch this list and get speculating.
